Meet some of our students
"I have been dancing with Starbrite Studios for over 7 years, the last 4 of these I have also danced for the Triplestar Associates. When I first joined Starbrite, I danced one class each week for fun. My confidence grew and now I dance many different dance genres. I believe that I have progressed as a dancer in all aspects of dance, specifically musicality, timing, emphasis, expression and focus.
I enjoy the team atmosphere, choreographing dances and regularly learning new routines. Triplestar has provided me with confidence, technique, and unforgettable opportunities. These include award-winning competitions, and many outside performances such as 'Chance 2 Dance', performing on a West End stage, 'Move It', and 'Can You Dance?'.
I am looking forward to what the future brings, and progressing further with my dance."
"I have been dancing with Starbrite since I was 4 years old, and I joined Triplestar, which I love, in 2016. All the teachers, including Miss Emma, are brilliant, and help me improve my dancing in every lesson.
Triplestar is really good and I have lots of friends. We have performed in lots of competitions, which we have done really well in, getting first, seconds and third places. We have taken part in some workshops which I absolutely love, and especially loved going to London to dance at Move It.
My dancing has got better because I take more lessons, and it does help when all of us in Triplestar are best friends. Triplestar has helped me improve my flexibility and has encouraged me to practice more. But I couldn’t have done it without Miss Emma for helping me so much. Thank you so much for giving me so many performance opportunities. :-)"
"I began dancing when I was just 4 years old when I took my first ballet lesson. I soon found my passion for dance and performing, and was eager to learn so I joined more classes over the next couple of years, including Tap, Modern Jazz, Show Class, Acrobatics, Commercial, Gymnastics and Drama. I attend my lessons with anticipation of what I am going to learn next.
I have private lessons, which allow me to have focused time to work on my competition routines and polish my technique so that I can keep on achieving successful and high-scoring exam results, which I take around twice a year.
One of the achievements I am most proud of is being a part of the Triplestar Associates, not only this current year but previous years as well. To be in the Triplestar Associates enables me to be part of many amazing experiences and memorable achievements in my life.
On stage, my confidence with the help of everyone at Triplestar has flourished, and fortunately I have had many opportunities to showcase my talent, some of which include pantomimes, West End stage appearances, and many competitions.
All of this has been possible because of Triplestar and especially Miss Emma, without whom none of this would have been possible.
Dancing and performing is definitely my passion in life, and I can’t wait to see what the future holds."
"Since becoming of a member of the Triplestar Associates, I have experienced multiple successes, from extending my vocabulary and terminology to performing at different events across the region. These sessions have improved my dance knowledge, which I have then applied into my training, making me a better dancer and performer."
"Some of my Triplestar successes this year have been performing at Alton Towers, in Blackpool, and at 'Move It', and lots more exciting events.
I feel that at every Triplestar Associates training session, I am improving my technique with splits, leaps, tricks, and lots more. I have tried to take on board advice from my teachers, and I have been rehearsing the dances we have been given to practice.
I enjoy learning new choreography and creating our own dances for our BTEC course. I love Triplestar Associates because we get so many opportunities to be part of such amazing events."
"I have been dancing with Starbrite since aged 4, and I currently takes classes in tap, ballet, jazz, commercial, drama, and singing. My particular favourite is tap.
It has been a very full and rewarding year for me, and I have loved every moment of my Triplestar experience. My performances over the past 12 months have included 'Move It' in London and 'Chance 2 Dance' at Alton Towers. I will end the year with a performance in August at Her Majesty’s Theatre in London, which I am extremely excited about.
Triplestar has boosted my confidence and given me such wonderful opportunities. I have had the privilege of experiencing things that really are the stuff dreams are made of."
"I am proud to be a member of the Triplestar Associates, it has helped me to grow in confidence as a dancer, to develop my performance skills and nurtured my passion for all types of dance, particularly commercial and modern. In competition, I have enjoyed considerable medal success, performing duets, trio and troupe work. I find it particularly thrilling and rewarding to be a part of a troupe. This year, as a member of the Triplestar Associates, I have performed at 'Move It', Alton Towers, and in two national touring pantomimes. I am looking forward to performing at Her Majesty’s Theatre in summer 2017."
"I began dancing with Starbrite Studios in 2013, and since then I have been developing my technique in many different genres of dance, my favourite being Modern Jazz. I have been told that I have great rhythm and am a strong and energetic performer with an infectious smile! I love dancing with the senior students and through this I continue to learn and improve my performance.
As a member of Starbrite Studios, Triplestar Associates and the competition team, I have made great friends and enjoyed a wealth of experiences. My performance highlights include dancing on a West End stage at Her Majesty’s Theatre in London, Chance 2 Dance at Alton Towers, Move It 2017 at London’s Excel Centre, Phil Winston’s Theatre Works in Blackpool, and winning many medals and trophies at dance festivals and competitions in Yorkshire and the North East."
"I like being a member of the Triplestar Associates because I like to explore different styles of dance.
I get lots of opportunities to perform on stage, get better at my tricks, and make new friends."
"I have had many achievements since becoming a member of the Triplestar Associates.
I have performed as part of the 'Chance 2 Dance' experience at Alton Towers, taken part in IDTA workshops, performed and attended workshops at the 'Move It' and 'Can You Dance?' nationwide dance conventions, have had much success in regional dance competitions, and performed in celebrity pantomimes alongside Dani Harmer and George Sampson.
I am also looking forward to upcoming events, which include dancing on stage at Her Majesty's Theatre in London's West End."
